Market News

Good morning all!

Are you thinking about Christmas now that Thanksgiving has passed?

Stones River Market has you COVERED for so many gift options!

First:
Stephanie with The Krafty Kupboard has fantastic ideas:

Before creating organic, local foods, The Krafty Kupboard was in the hand-made gifting business. She specialized in hand-made gifts for mothers, Babies and young children, but also made other items. While she loves to sew and create, she no longer has time to maintain this business. She’s clearing out her inventory and selling her hand-made gifts for 50%-75% off their original prices for the holiday season. Look under “hand-made & gifts” to see her products. You can find things such as child aprons, baby blankets, burp cloths, breastfeeding covers, pacifier clips, child leg warmers, infinity scarves and more.

Then there is ALWAYS a chance to pull together an amazing “locally produced” basket assortment of Seeds of Success seasonings, Short Mountain Cultures sauces, Valentine Family Farm pickled delights, "Flying S Farms* sweet bread along with Wild Flours loaves and Marcy Jams jellies. Dogwood Valley Greenhouse has wonderful, hand-made “kissing balls” featuring incredible greenery! Double Star Bar Farms* candied ginger (it’s addictive!) and Ann E May’s Gluten Free Goodies has listed new thumbprint cookies along with Fresh roasted, organic coffees from E & B Coffee would be delicious!

Even giving someone a stocked fridge or freezer of meats from Farrar Farms, Wedge Oak or West Wind Farms, producefrom Frontier Family Farm and Rocky Glade Farm and Virgin Bay Seafood would be appreciated! Check out all the options available!

The ideas are nearly limitless for each person on your list!

How about sending someone a gift certificate and paying to have their order shipped to them! All done and always appreciated!

Third, there’s Botanical Harmony Farm who is listing two gift sets. One is a soap/spray/hand balm assortment and the other is a kitchen/bath set.

Finally and so important, there are gift certificates for not only Stones River Market as a whole but also several other vendors have them listed for their products!

I know I am forgetting so many items and many different gift ideas but all this to say, check it out… your shopping is complete right here with Stones River Market!

One more item of note!
We are giving away TWO free tickets to the Christmas Schooner at The Center for the Arts all you have to do is order this week to have one entry. The tickets are for the December 16, 7:30 show.

Based on the true story of the Rouse Simmons, a Great Lakes schooner whose captain risks life and limb to transport fir trees from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula to Chicago’s German immigrants during the late 19th century. Notable songs from the musical include “We All Have Songs,” “Pass it On,” “What is it About the Water?,” “The Christmas Schooner,” “Questions,” and “Hardwater Sailor.”

Extremely touching story and sure to be a Christmas favorite!

See you Wednesday!

As always, we thank L & L Contractors for their hospitality and generosity in hosting our market! Please remember them in your contracting needs! They support us so please return the support to them!

See you Wednesday!

Tracey & Ashleigh
