Champaign, OH:  Uncle John's Band

It’s the same story that the crow told me
It’s the only one he knows…
Like the morning sun you come and like the wind you go…
Ain’t no time to hate… barely time to wait…
Oh oh-all I want to know is where does the time go…
(Uncle John’s Band-Grateful Dead)

Good morning, little local market of love customers!! It’s Tuesday, it’s the last day of May, AND, it’s the last day of the market for ordering, for this week!!

Your market manager is back after a very much needed long weekend, away, at a Grateful Deadesque music festival! It’s tradition, for me, to pack up, each Memorial Day weekend, hit the road, meet up with my best pals, set up camp, and just let the music guide us for 3 days. It always recharges my soul, it fills me with love and friendship, and it puts me back in touch with me.

After I return, I am always ready to greet my crazy paced life, once again, and show everyone the love!

Just like the lyric, I posted, the holiday weekends always throw us off, a bit. On the drive home, yesterday, my friend and I were going through our usual recap of the weekend, and I muttered, where does the time go?

So, with a song in my head, love in my heart, and a bit of a wild soul, I am dancing into this new week, and groovin’ into the market to place my own order. Won’t you come with me?

Peace, Love, Good Vibes…
Cosmic Pam

DeForest, WI:  Availability for Week of May 29 2016

We hope everyone enjoyed and reflected on the Memorial day holiday.

This week head lettuce has been added to the listing. As was the case last week, the Farmers expect to find additional items that are ready to harvest on Friday.

Forest Run Farm still has a good assortment of heirloom tomato plants along with peppers, both hot and sweet, pie pumpkins, watermelons, cucumbers summer and winter squash, broccoli, tomatillos, ground cherries, kale, kohlrabi and basil. Now is the time to be planting your garden with certified organic plants. Remember, the FarmStand CSA punch cards cannot be used to purchase plants.

Farmer Rich may have some strawberries available, if not this week then next. And the FarmStand CSA punch cards cannot be used to purchase fruits and veggies from Ripp-N-Good.

This week begins the summer hours of 3-6pm.

Foothills Market:  First Wednesday Market Deliveries This Week!

If you don’t want to have to wait until the weekend to get your fresh veggies, we’ll have a booth at the Clarksville-Johnson County Community Farmers’ Market this Wednesday from 5-6:30 p.m. You can order any of the items listed on the Foothills Market page and have them available for pickup downtown at the farmer’s market.

Our big addition to the market this week is blueberries! We have quarts or gallons available for pre-order.

We’re in the transition from the spring vegetables to the summer season, so we still have a limited amount of spring salad mix, as well as the first of the summer peppers.

Eat something fresh this week!
